Everything lies within the origin. an in situ investigation of the places where the natural fibers that we use for our designs are grown, is an essential parting point for each of our pieces. depending on the properties of each natural fiber, a design is developed and the fabrication of the new pieces is done accordingly.

At the beginning of our value chain, is where majority of our environmental impact is situated. therefore, we select our materials meticulously. being a responsible brand, we seek to reduce our carbon footprint produced for the well-being of our planet; hence providing clients natural materials, or materials produced through innocuous processes.

We strive to achieve a more responsible sourcing of the most common materials in our collections, starting with natural fibers, to leather and cloths obtained from waste and leftovers from previous designs. On the other hand, all these materials represent a real challenge from an economic point of view. These are materials which are inherently limited, and we are constantly doing everything possible to ensure their availability by strengthening collaboration with our suppliers.

The maintenance of our materials

At Galera we believe that to achieve more responsible fashion industry it is necessary to create pieces using materials to preserve the wealth and diversity of our country. Therefore, after completing the behavior analysis of our main natural fibers since 2016, we decided to write a guide to natural fibers that will help you learn more about the natural fibers we work with, those existing in other parts of Peru and the care necessary to wear them through different seasons.
